Professor Bajaj is an Honorary Consultant at St Barts and Royal London Hospitals. I was Clinical Lead for Paediatric Otolaryngology (ENT) at St Bart’s & Royal London hospitals from 2011-2022. He is Visiting Professor of ENT (Otolaryngology) at Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent. He was appointed as ENT Consultant at Barts & London hospitals in 2011. He provides tertiary level services in all aspects of paediatric otolaryngology and general adult otolaryngology. As part of his role as Professor of ENT, he teaches on Paediatric ENT module of MCh (ENT) course at Canterbury Christchurch University, Kent.

Professor Bajaj has been awarded his doctorate (MD in Clinical Research) from University College London in 2007, for his dedicated research on the genetics of deafness for 2 years at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Professor Bajaj has also been awarded Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (FRCS (ORL HNS) in ENT & Head Neck Surgery in 2009 at the end of his higher surgical training. he was also awarded Membership of Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (MRCS) in Surgery in 2003 and Diploma in ENT (DLO RCS) from Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002. He has undergone six years of excellent higher surgical training in Yorkshire. he has had 3 years of training at Great Ormond Street hospital (12 months as clinical fellow in paediatric otolaryngology and 24 months as clinical and research fellow).

Professor Bajaj was awarded Master of Surgery (MS (ENT)) degree in ENT from University of Delhi in 1997 at the end of his ENT training in Delhi and approval of his thesis on Tympanoplasty in children. he was also awarded Diplomate of National Board of Examination (DNB (ENT)) degree in ENT in1997. Professor Bajaj graduated (MBBS) from University of Delhi in 1994.

In his general paediatric and adult clinical practice he performs throat (Tonsils/Adenoids), head neck procedures, otology (Ear) and rhinology (Nose & Sinus) procedures. In his specialist paediatric practice he performs airway endoscopies, laryngotracheal reconstructions and major ear and neck operations, in addition to general paediatric ENT procedures.

Professor Bajaj has extensive and broad experience in all aspects of Ear Nose Throat speciality. He has updated my personal practices and knowledge by reflective practice and self-directed learning, as well as attending conferences, courses and meetings.

Professor Bajaj has completed research projects on laryngotracheal reconstruction, surgical management of lymphatic malformation, endoscopic posterior laryngeal grafts, airway management in Pierre Robin patients, cochlear implantation in syndromic children, branchial anomalies in children, surgical results of first arch anomalies, surgical site infections, and propranolol for subglottic haemangioma. He has presented these projects nationally and internationally and have published these in international journals. Overall he has published 80 articles on ENT related topics, and have presented more than 130 papers at national and international conferences

As Consultant at Bart’s & London Hospitals and as Professor in ENT, he provides clinical and surgical training to higher surgical trainees in all aspects of specialist Paediatric and general adult ENT (Otolaryngology).
