Professor Alwyn D’Souza has a wealth of experience in the medical and surgical management of general ENT (Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery) conditions, alongside reconstructive and aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery of the face. He is recognized all major insurers and provides services at HCA London Bridge Hospital, OneWelbeck Hospital as well as BMI Blackheath Hospital.

Professor D’Souza is a meticulous surgeon and passionately believes in providing the best available patient information and bases his consultations and treatment on clear, comprehensive patient assessment and inter-speciality referral where appropriate. This approach is supplemented by his dedicated experienced office staff who work to support our patients to achieve best possible treatment and patient satisfaction, and hence a successful outcome.

Professor D’Souza is the immediate past President of Facial Plastic Surgery UK (FPSUK.org), and is the current President of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS.org). In the past he also was the clinical lead for thyroid and head and neck surgery and is the clinical lead for facial plastic surgery at University hospital Lewisham, London. He is an internationally renowned facial plastic surgeon, specializing in aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head and neck, as well as the treatment of facial skin cancers.

He is a fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of England and after having completed specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology (Head & Neck Surgery) was admitted on the GMC’s specialist register.  He has also obtained super specialist training in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Facial Plastic Surgery of the face in the UK, Europe and North America.

Professor D’Souza publishes research and review papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and has authored several textbook chapters.  He is an invited speaker to both national and international conferences and is an examiner for postgraduate examinations both in ENT (otolaryngology) and facial plastic surgery.  He is a dedicated teacher and is the founder of London Medical Courses, which runs ENT courses for GP’s and facial plastic surgery courses for senior trainees and consultants.
